The trek takes you through the High Atlas Mountains, past the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, across the Draa Valley, and into the heart of the Sahara Desert. You’ll explore stunning dunes, ancient oases, and historical sites while staying in a mix of budget-friendly hotels, desert camps, and local accommodations.
Program Details
- Drive time: 4-5 hours
- Morning Departure: Leave Marrakech early in the morning and head toward the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, a winding mountain road offering breathtaking views of the valleys and villages.
- Visit Ait Benhaddou: Stop to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified kasbah known for its dramatic architecture, which has been featured in several movies.
- Overnight: Stay in a comfortable guesthouse or hotel in Ait Benhaddou.
